I have a claim in for my mother who has been diagnosed with end of life and is now on hospice. Even with the doctor's very specific letter, Banker's Life said it would take 30 days to review and approve the claim. Are they kidding? They just want to make sure they do not pay on this claim. My mother purchased this long term care insurance in good faith with an effort to protect her assets. So far, they are in jeopardy.

Yeah being knowledgeable about it is one thing, but I would never own one of these on my own life or my fimaly's life. Every universal life policy out there is a monster that cannibalizes on itself. The cash value will build up, but then start to decrease rapidly because the cost of insurance goes up. Yeah the premium stays the same, but the cost insurance inside your premium continues to go up, and your investment account gets eaten away all the way til 0.Just pointing out form experience.
