Acceptance Insurance Companies Inc. is a Delaware corporation established in 1968. The Company now only owns Acceptance Insurance Company, a Nebraska domestic insurance company. In late 1999 the Company began exiting the property and casualty business and in 2001 discontinued the issuance or renewal of policies other than crop insurance policies. In December 2002 the Company discontinued the issuance or renewal of crop insurance policies
